More Than Robots®.
Built for Texas.
Across Texas, thousands of students come together to design, build, and compete in FIRST® robotics programs. Along the way, they discover new interests, build confidence, develop real-world skills, and see what’s possible for their future.

Who we are
Robotics programs for every student in Texas
FIRST® is the world’s leading youth robotics community. This site is your guide to FIRST across the state of Texas. Whether you’re new or already on a team, this is your place to learn how FIRST works in Texas, connect with your local region, select events, find resources, and get involved.
Build something real
Teams research, design, build, program and test their own solutions, just like professionals do, with a new challenge each season.
With people who care
Coaches and industry mentors create a welcoming community where students build real-world skills, gain confidence in STEM, and get a close-up look at where it can lead.
More than a competition
In events across the state, teams compete while practicing Gracious Professionalism® and Coopertition®, values that last long after the season ends.

Who makes it happen
The people behind the Texas season
It takes a Texas-sized community to make the season happen. Statewide staff and Regional Program Administrators support teams across the state, Advisory Councils share their expertise to help shape the programs, and more than 7,000 volunteers give up their Saturdays so students have a place to compete, learn and shine.
Get involved
Start or coach a team
All it takes is a few students and two adults ready to learn alongside them. No robotics experience needed. We’ll help you register, find resources and get to your first event.
Start a teamVolunteer for a day
Judge, referee, inspect robots or help run check-in. No robotics background needed, training is provided, and one Saturday makes a real difference for students.
How to volunteerHost, sponsor or partner
Schools, colleges and companies host events, sponsor teams and send their people to mentor. Every event in Texas runs on local partners, and your support puts STEM within reach for more students.
